Pawsperity is a unique Kansas City-based nonprofit organization that combines professional pet grooming services with transformative job training. As the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit grooming school of its kind nationwide, Pawsperity empowers vulnerable individuals, particularly single parents facing poverty, by providing comprehensive instruction in dog grooming alongside essential soft skills and wrap-around support like housing and food assistance. Beyond offering affordable pet grooming to the community, Pawsperity’s core mission is to break cycles of generational poverty by equipping students with valuable job skills and connecting them to meaningful careers within the thriving pet care industry.
